The MSCI ACWI IMI SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation Select Index aims to reflect the performance of large, medium, and small‑capitalisation companies across developed and emerging markets; companies associated with a positive contribution to Sustainable Development Goal 6: ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and which meet certain ESG criteria. To be eligible for inclusion securities must meet a certain threshold on the theme of water and/or be part of the certain business segments including not limited to: (i) sustainable water; (ii) sanitation; and (iii) sustainable agriculture. The index is reviewed semi‑annually and rebalanced at least quarterly.
