This ETF aims to follow an index of companies involved in ‘physical AI’. This means businesses using artificial intelligence in machines that work in the real world, rather than only in software or online services. The portfolio can include companies linked to humanoid robots, drones, self‑driving technology, automated factories, warehouse systems, sensors, computer chips, control systems and other parts needed to help machines see, move, decide and carry out tasks.
The ETF gives exposure to a narrow theme within the technology sector. The companies it holds may come from different countries and may sit at different points in the supply chain, from firms making finished robots or drones to firms supplying parts, hardware or supporting technology. Because the theme is focused, its performance may be more affected by changes in investor views on artificial intelligence, robotics and automation than a broader global shares fund.
