ETF description

This ETF provides exposure to companies in emerging markets while applying environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. Emerging markets are economies that are still developing and may have higher growth potential alongside increased risks. The ETF selects companies that meet specific sustainability criteria, considering factors such as environmental impact, social responsibility, and corporate governance practices.

In addition to ESG principles, this ETF also aligns with climate‑focused goals by reducing exposure to companies with high carbon emissions. It follows specific guidelines designed to support the transition to a lower‑carbon economy. Companies that do not meet these climate‑related standards may be excluded from the selection process.

This ETF may appeal to investors who want exposure to a diverse range of companies in developing economies while prioritizing sustainable business practices. Since emerging markets can be more volatile than developed markets, this ETF may suit investors who are comfortable with potential fluctuations in value.

Index details

The MSCI EM (Emerging Markets) SRI Filtered PAB Index is an equity index based on the MSCI Emerging Markets index representative of the large and mid‑cap stocks across 26 emerging countries (as of November 2021) (the ‘“Parent Index”’). The index provides exposure to companies with outstanding Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) ratings and excludes companies whose products have negative social or environmental impacts. Additionally, the Index aims to represent the performance of a strategy that reweights securities based upon the opportunities and risks associated with the climate transition to meet the EU Paris‑aligned benchmark (EU PAB) regulation minimum requirements.
